LD Spring Picnic @ Black Hills

The scouts arrived at the hard to find, Black Hills Picnic Shelter. I didn’t know what to expect since it was my second picnic.

It took a while to bring our materials from the parking lot to the picnic shelter. Next to the shelter was a big playground. The younger scout played on the playground while the older scouts and I prepared the opening ceremony and the Court of Honor.

 

During the opening ceremony and the Court of Honor I suffered a short heat stroke, I drank some water and immediately got better. In the Court of Honor, I earned my Scout and Tenderfoot badges.

After that, the scouts ate lunch. Following lunch, the older scouts prepared the games. The games consisted of volleyball, badminton, baseball, soccer, frisbee, lacrosse, and basketball.

 

Athen also set up his shaved ice fundraiser for his Eagle Project, which him, Vincent and I ran.

The next hour consisted of fun and games. I played volleyball, baseball, and rode my bike with Thanh, Nathan H, and Vincent.

At the end of the day, I have lots of fun and earned 2 awards.
