Hiking DC

Troop started the trip by navigating the Washington DC Metro system. Half of the troop entered the system at Shady Grove Metro Station and the other half entered at the Silver Spring Metro Station. We all met in Washington DC at 10:00 am.

Brian Mach was our scout in charge for this trip. First, he led us to Reflection Pool and we spent some time at the WWII, Vietnam, Korean, and Lincohn Memorial. The air was cold, somber and solemn at all of these memorials. After the memorials, we walked past the White House to Farragut Park where we had lunch at various restaurant around the vicinity. After lunch, we visited the American History and Air and Space museums. We stayed at the museums until 4:30pm.

After the museums, the entire group made our way to the nearest Metro station and went home.
